Self adhesive Teflon tape T008 is made of 3mil PTFE impregnated glass cloth etched on one side and applied with pressure sensitive silicone adhesive which is high temperature resistant on the back. PTFE coating creates a a smooth anti-stick surface that performs at temperatures up to 500F degrees. Reinforced glass cloth fabric provides extra strength and dimensional stability. This material also offers excellent insulation characteristics, good abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. Adhesive backed Teflon tape is an excellent choice for various mechanical applications like protection of heat sealing plates or heat sealing bars of plastic film, gaskets & seals, release fabric for the manufacturing of composites. Self adhesive Teflon tape comes with yellow corrugated liner for easy removal.

Self adhesive Teflon tape is used for covering heat sealing jaw as well as the silicone elastomers on the opposing jaw to prevent the hot plastic material from sticking to the band. The tape helps to ensure high efficiency, continuous sealing.
